The loan move is reported to cost Inter €6 million (£5.4m), while the option to make the move a full-time switch will command a further €42m (£37m) plus a percentage of any future transfer.

Keita joined Monaco for £26million in the aftermath of a widespread exodus in the summer of 2017, after the likes of Kylian Mbappe, Bernard Mendy and Bernardo Silva were snapped up by European rivals.

The forward found his options limited in Monaco and has now moved to Inter as they bid to climb back among the elite in Serie A and challenge the dominance of Juventus.
