Dugan stands alone in Haddonfield history

Jack Dugan scored three minutes into Haddonfield's 6-0 win over Collingswood on Oct. 17. The goal allowed him to reach 65 career goals, making him the all-time scoring leader at Haddonfield. The record was previously held by 1977 graduate Rich Sexton, who had 64 goals.

Tenafly's Jaeger reaches milestone will

Bill Jaeger won his 200th career game when Tenafly defeated Dwight-Englewood, 4-3, on Oct. 5. Tapiwa Shumba, Georgios Kostaras, Omer Magen and Alexios Avrassoglou all scored in the victory. Jaeger is in his 25th year coaching at Tenafly.

Beberman breaks Highland Park's scoring record

Beberman became Highland Park's all-time leading scorer last weekend when he scored four goals in a 6-0 win over Middlesex on Oct. 14. He now has 73 career goals and broke a record originally set by 1994 graduate Charles Vincent, who had 69 goals.

Cranford erases 34 years of losing to SPF

Michael Carracino put home a feed from Drew Patterson to lead third-seeded Cranford over sixth-seeded Scotch Plains-Fanwood in overtime, 2-1, in the Union County Tournament quarterfinals. Brian Nigro put home a goal from Matt Medeiros to equalize in the first half. The win was the first time Cranford defeated Scotch Plains in 34 years.

All public school Bergen semis

Despite entering the Bergen County Tournament ranked in the top 10 of the NJ.com Top 20, Bergen Catholic, ranked No. 10 at the time, and Don Bosco Prep, ranked ninth in the state, both fell in the Bergen County Tournament quarterfinals. Northern Highlands defeated Don Bosco Prep, 2-0, while No. 17 Old Tappan stunned Bergen Catholic, 3-0.

The semifinals will be on Sunday at Ramapo. The matchups are: Glen Rock at No. 10 Ramapo at 12:30 p.m. and Northern Highlands vs Old Tappan at Ramapo at 3 p.m.

Jefferson breaks school record

When Jefferson defeated Morris Hills, 2-0, on Thursday, it brought the Falcons' record to 12-5-1. It marked the first time in school history that Jefferson accomplished the feat. Liam Fitzgerald and Zackary Hirschman scored a goal apiece in the win.

Lockdown defense at Ocean Township

Playing in the loaded Shore Conference, Ocean Township has run into its fair share of dangerous scorers. Luckily for Ocean Township, it has a steady backline of Zach Sintic, Mark Butler, Frank Austidillo and Mark Mauro as well as holding midfielder Job Cojas. With its defense leading the charge it has rattled off 12 straight wins, most recently a penalty kick win over Point Pleasant Boro. During the streak its denfense has shutouts seven opponents.

Hoyt becomes Monroe assists leader

Matt Hoyt became Monroe's all-time assists leader last week. He currently has 58 career assists. The previous record was held by Rich Palumbo who racked up 49 assists from 1982-85.

Bishop Eustace wins OT thriller over St. Augustine

Jake Munz and Mason Domico each scored to fuel No. 6-seed Bishop Eustace to a 2-1 overtime win over No. 11-seed St. Augustine in the opening round of the South Jersey Soccer Coaches Association Tournament. With the other seven first-round games slated for Friday and Saturday, all eyes were on Bishop Eustace and St. Augustine Thursday night.

The goal came in the second half off an assist from Alexios Avrassoglou as Tino Shumba stopped eight shots. Tenafly's run came to an end at the hands of Ramapo in the quarterfinals.

Hamed Doukoure scored two goals as 17th-seeded Newark Central defeated 16th-seeded Science Park, 4-1, in the preliminary round of the Essex County Tournament. Lloyd Brown and Abraham Lomax each netted one goal while Albertiny Confident made seven saves for Newark Central, which had a total of 12 shots and outscored its opponent, 2-0, in the first half. Central's run came to an end at the hands of top-seeded Seton Hall Prep in the first round.

Paul Kondratowicz posted a hat trick as third-seeded St. Peter's Prep defeated second-seeded Union City, 6-2, in the Hudson County Tournament semifinals. Christian Arcos, Antonio Callegari and Luc Smith also scored with Arcos tallying a game-high two assists. Ulises Rodriguez made four saves as St. Peter's held a 15-6 shot advantage.

Ulysses Miranda scored the final shootout goal as eighth-seeded Passaic upset top-seeded Passaic Valley after a 2-2 tie in the quarterfinal round of the Passaic County Tournament. Passaic won in penalty kicks, 3-2. Anderson Aguilar and Miguel Sencion each had a goal in regulation, while Angel Hernandez made 26 saves.
