The 39-year-old former first daughter, who gave birth to her third child, Jasper, on July 22, looked perfectly polished when she stepped out of her New York City apartment building and headed out for the day.

She opted not to wear her go-to heels during the last months of her pregnancy, and instead stuck to a more sensible, and undoubtedly more comfortable, nude wedges.

Chelsea's pumps have been a staple in her closet for years, and they appear to have been resoled and re-heeled several times — with plenty of wear and tear visible on the well-loved designs.

The mom's light brown hair was styled straight and worn loose around her shoulders. She carried a maroon tote bag in the crook of her elbow as she made her way to the car that was waiting for her at the curb.

Chelsea was later seen heading into The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, where she joined her 71-year-old mother, former Secretary State Hillary Clinton.

The mother and daughter are promoting their new book, The Book of Gutsy Women, which is out on Tuesday.

The book features portraits of roles models who inspire them, including Harriet Tubman and Swedish environmental activist Greta Thunberg.

Chelsea's publicity outing came on the same day People released a video interview of her and her mother talking about their latest project and the family's newest addition.

Little Charlotte takes her role as a big sister seriously, and according to her mom, she has taken her brothers — three-year-old Aidan and two-month-old Jasper — under her wing.

'Oh, I’m so proud of my daughter,' Chelsea said, noting that her eldest child is 'already being precocious and curious and asking lots of questions and teaching her younger brothers.'

However, the mom admitted she isn't sure how much baby Jasper actually understands about Charlotte's love of 'Wonder Woman, who she thinks is, hopefully next to me, the most important woman, maybe tied with Grandma.'

'Just that she already looks up to and understands this kind of gutsiness … I think that is the beginning of being gutsy for herself and hopefully for the community that she’ll build,' she added.

Hillary, who gushed that being a grandmother is 'the best experience ever' and 'so fulfilling,' said she finds it 'fascinating' to watch her granddaughter and her friends 'take for granted' the things she and other women in her generation had to work for.

'She has a sense of possibility that I am thrilled to see along with all these other kids that are around her age,' she said, explaining 'the world in which she is coming to age in is a much more difficult world for kids.'

'It’s a funny combination,' she added. 'You’ve got these curious, feisty young girls and all of the challenges that we face in the world today.'

Chelsea was seen out and about with all three of her children on Sunday for the first time since she has given birth.

The mother-of-three donned a flowing floral dress and held hands with little Aidan, who was dressed in a short-sleeve T-shirt and jeans.

Charlotte walked right behind them in a sleeveless red dress, which matched her glasses, while Jasper was pushed in a stroller by their nanny.

Chelsea and her children were seen waiting to hop into an SUV that was parked at the curb and getting packed with luggage.
