An official welcoming ceremony for President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, who is on a state visit to France, took place at the House of Veterans, known as Les Invalides in Paris on March 12, the presidential press service reported.
French President Emmanuel Macron personally greeted the Uzbek leader. In honor of the high-level guest, a guard of honor comprising members of the French Republican Guard, land forces, navy, and air force was assembled in the square.

A military orchestra performed the national anthems of both countries, followed by a solemn march by the guardsmen. The two presidents then reviewed the guard of honor and exchanged greetings with members of their respective official delegations.
Following the ceremony, President Mirziyoyev, escorted by the Horse Guards and motorcyclists, proceeded to the Élysée Palace for high-level talks with his French counterpart.
