Trump says he made up information on trade when speaking to Canada’s prime minister. Thousands of students in Utah and across the country walked out of school to mark the Florida shooting. Utah Senate President Niederhauser will not seek re-election.

Happy Thursday. During a fundraising speech in Missouri yesterday, President Donald Trump said that he made up information when speaking with Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau. “Nice guy, good-looking guy, comes in — ‘Donald, we have no trade deficit,’” Trump recounted. “He’s very proud because everybody else, you know, we’re getting killed. ... So, he’s proud. I said, ‘Wrong, Justin, you do.’ I didn’t even know. ... I had no idea. I just said, ‘You’re wrong.’” [WaPost]
