ROCKINGHAM — The Richmond County Sheriff’s office has charged Charles Jacob Dudley, 40, of Laurinburg with the theft of two diamond rings from a person who hired him for household chores.
The rings have been recovered and returned, and Dudley has been charged with one felony count of larceny.
Dudley was arrested July 9. He is in the Richmond County Jail in lieu of a $5,000 secured bond.
Records with the N.C. Department of Public Safety show that Dudley has no previous convictions in North Carolina.
