    Jio launches international inbound roaming on VoLTE from Japan

    Jio has entered into partnership with KDDI Corporation thus the Mukesh Ambani controlled company said that it had become the first Indian 4G telecom operator to provide VoLTE based international roaming services in India whereby international roamers would be access high definition voice and LTE high speed data.

    “Reliance Jio is focused on delivering the best data and voice experience to all of India and those who visit India. We welcome KDDI customers to Jio as the first international VoLTE and HD roaming users in India,” said Mark Yarkosky, Reliance Jio.

    The statement added that with the new arrangement, “international travellers will be able to experience Jio’s world-class all-IP network, which has been consistently rated as the fastest network in India by TRAI’s MySpeed application over the last 20 months with an average download speed of 20.6 Mbps during September 2018.”

    Jio reported it’s reported its fourth straight profitable quarter with net profit of Rs 681 crore. The company Jio added 37 million subscribers on a net basis during the three months, its highest ever in any quarter, to end September with 252.3 million users on its network.
