Angola, Gabon Statesmen speak of regional integration
Speaking to the press at the end of his visit to Angola, Ali Bongo said that in his capacity as ECCAS President he feels compelled to hold consultation with his peers.

The president said that at the meeting with Angolan counterpart, he realised that both of them have the same idea.
According to him, they seized the opportunity to share the ideas on integration to ensure the ECCAS move forward.

The two countries also share the Organisation of the Petroleum Exporting Countries, the African Union and the United Nations.
In recent months, the two states have maintained contacts at the presidential level through the sending of a special envoy of the Angolan Head of State to Libreville to exchange information on the situation in ECCAS.
At the end of his visit, the President Ali Bongo Ondimba was seen off at Luanda's “4 de Fevereiro” International Airport by Foreign minister Manuel Augusto, among other figures.
